Swim like you mean it

The most underrated conditioning there is, and it costs you nothing but a pool.

Sample copyWritten in the Zdrip voice to demo the system. Not approved copy.

Running punishes your knees. Lifting punishes your ego. Swimming punishes neither, and it will still leave you flat on your back at the shallow end wondering what happened.

Water is roughly eight hundred times denser than air. Every movement is resistance in every direction, which is why swimming loads your whole posterior chain without loading your joints. It is one of the few things you can do hard, often, and still walk normally the next morning.

You do not need a program. Get in, swim a length, stop when you need to, swim another. Count nothing. The first few sessions are about learning to breathe out underwater, which is the thing almost everyone gets wrong and the thing that makes it feel impossible.

If you can only do one thing this week, do this: twenty minutes in the water, no watch, no target. Get out before you hate it. That is how you go back.

Not a protocol. Just an invitation to get wet.
